Saville, a mid-market accounting firm located in downtown Dallas, is looking to recruit an experienced accounting professional with QuickBooks experience to join our team as Assistant Controller. This position offers some work schedule flexibility around the office’s core hours (9:00 – 4:00).

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience at a public accounting firm and/or in a Professional Services environment
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills;
• Proven ability to self-manage workload responsibilities
• Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficient use of technology including MS Excel and Quickbooks;
• Bookkeeping experience and Quickbooks knowledge mandatory; and
• Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Monitor cash flow and enter and track accounts receivable
• Enter and track accounts payable
• Monitor the company’s financial condition to ensure that obligations are timely paid
• Maintain and administer the company’s 401K program and ensure the program complies with ERISA guidelines
• Maintain the company financial records for the 13th largest accounting firm in DFW
• Analyze generated financial reports to implement procedures and policies to maximize revenue
• Track and monitor all company credit cards and perform monthly audits
• Analyze the company’s receivables and monitor collections
• Prepare monthly and yearly expense reconciliations
• Prepare semi-monthly payroll for 120+ employees and ensure that taxes are properly reported and paid
• Preparation of monthly financial statements following modified GAAP
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, and yearly personnel and financial reports
• Administer and monitor the budget and implement policies and controls to operate within the budget
• Assist with Human Resources needs as necessary

Candidates must embrace technology and be able to work independently within a group environment. QuickBooks (both desktop and online) are used heavily in addition to other client and practice management software. Qualified applicants will have advanced QuickBooks knowledge with payroll and sales tax experience including W2s and 1099s. Prior accounting experience is required. Experience with Pro Systems FX software and CCH Access a plus, but not required.
